All materials used in the construction of window, door and conservatory framework is unplasticised ‘high impact’ resistant rigid PVC extruded material corresponding to BS 7413:1991.

The method of glazing is by post co-ex bead gaskets complimented by finned external gaskets conforming to BS 7412:1991.

All frames have an adequate drainage system for surface water and the weather performance is in accordance with BS 6375 Part 1:1989.

The Colour consistency of the frames corresponds to BS 7413:1991.

The installation of all frames is by direct fitting to any new or existing structure by means of fixing brackets or special dowel fixings or by standard frame fasteners in accordance with the current issue of the BPF Installation of PVC-U windows and doorsets.

All windows and doors etc. are complimented by a wide selection of fittings and general hardware.

The mounting of the above mentioned fittings is via screwports and where appropriate, direct into steel reinforcement.

Reinforcement of frames and sections is with galvanised steel sections linked to the PVC-U sections above certain sizes. Optional aluminium sections are available.

All profile joints are welded only.

Fire resistance is in accordance with BA 476 Part 7: 1971

The frame colour is white and various laminated foils on white or brown base material.


Maintenance of all types of frame should be carried out using a mild detergent and luke warm water and all movable engineered fittings on the frame should be lubricated at regular intervals.
